Angela Daniela Gonzalez Iturri is industrial engineer, scout leader, amateur singer, sports lover (football!) and expecting her first child. Moreover, she is leading the company AGRONAT S.A.

AGRONAT is an eco-social company in natural products, focusing on people’s heath and combining ancestral knowledge with advanced technology. Products include food, juices, cosmetics, nutraceutical products and biodynamic herbs. AGRONAT works with indigenous communities that provide raw materials like Aloe Vera, medicinal plants and Andean cereals.

Challenge
As a woman in Bolivia, it is a challenge to enter the business world and even more as a young woman, because the society still remains patriarchal and believes that women and youth are inexperienced. Thanks to the upbringing of my parents, the leadership lessons from scouts, the teamwork with my colleagues, my strong character and the confidence people put in me, I could break down these barriers in many (male-dominated) areas.

Dreams
My goal for AGRONAT is to export products worldwide and grow 50%, because that will enable us to help more people in rural communities. For myself, I want to be a successful and recognized businesswoman in Latin America and at the same time be an excellent mother, wife and daughter. And I also have some crazy dreams, like climbing the Illimani (Bolivia, 6458m) and the Aconcagua (Argentina, 6962m), travelling to all the continents of the world, and in the future having a foundation that manages a children’s home.

Favorite Quote – Baden Powell
“I believe that God put us in this jolly world to be happy and enjoy life. Happiness doesn’t come from being rich, nor merely from being successful in your career, nor by self-indulgence. But the real way to get happiness is by giving out happiness to other people. Try and leave this world a little better than you found it and when your turn comes to die, you can die happy in feeling that at any rate you have not wasted your time but have done your best. ‘Be Prepared’ in this way, to live happy and to die happy – stick to your Scout promise always – even after you have ceased to be a boy – and God help you to do it.”

Advice
There are two very important questions that every woman always has to ask herself: What is your mission in the world? And am I happy?
