Women social entrepreneur Lindsey Nefesh-Clarke, is the Founder and Managing Director of W4; Womens WorldWide Web. Women can indulge in this project.
The First crowd funding platform dedicated to girls’ Women’s and women’s empowerment, in both developing and developed countries. This is the first Women’s WorldWide Web (W4) in Europe.
She completed her Bachelor degree at Cambridge University. Later on she joined Human Rights Watch in New York and also worked for several years in Cameroon and Côte d’Ivoire for UNICEF. She worked for Paris-based humanitarian organization for 6 years, Children of Asia, with its function of educational sponsorship programs in Southeast Asia. She qualified in microcredit programs for the alleviation of poverty under the Nobel Peace Prize Winner Muhammad Yunus ”Grameen Bank” in Bangladesh.
She did her Executive MBA studies at ESCP-Europe business school in Paris, she was also named “MBA Student of the Year” by the MBA association and independent news paper. During this time she made her inception for her business plan for W4. But she officially launched W4 on International Women’s Day 2010; (March 8, 2010) with her ESCP-Europe colleagues and an international team of volunteers.
The Mission of W4 is to innovative, grassroots girls’ and women’s empowerment projects around the world, in developing and developed countries with social investors to contribute their finance or through crowd funding.
The first W4’s first Ambassador is Wasfia Nazreen, a mountaineer known for becoming the youngest Bangladeshi woman to Climb Mount Everest, Aconcagua, the highest mountain in the western and southern hemispheres, Mount Elbrus, the highest peak in Europe and the Mount Vinson, the highest mountain in Antarctic.
