Khaled Hosseini on becoming a writer

After Khaled Hosseini published his first book the Kite Runner that turned into a best seller and later made into a movie this Afghan-born American novelist and physician decided to stop practicing medicine and dedicating himself to becoming a full time writer. He went on writing A Thousand splendid suns and The Mountains Echoed both finding great success and being on the best seller lists.
